Crazy Sunburn Home Remedies to Get You Feeling Better in No Time!

We all try our best to protect ourselves against the harmful UV rays of the sun, but sometimes even the best of us get bit by the sun. When we are sunburned, the first thing we naturally go to grab is some aloe to help the burn but we have some other home remedies that might seem kind of weird, but really work to help relieve the sting and heal the burn.

Baking Soda

Soaking in a warm bath with ¼ cup of baking soda will help soothe and rebalance your pH levels. This will leave you feeling more comfortable and will help to heal your sunburn. Baking soda can be drying on the skin so make sure to spend no more than 15 minutes soaking in the tub and hydrate your skin with lotion afterwards.

Plain Yogurt

The probiotics in yogurt will help ease the sting of the burn while balancing pH levels. Greek yogurt is best, but any plain yogurt will do. Apply a thick layer to your sunburn then let it sit for 5-10 minutes. After, wipe it off with a clean, damp towel and then moisturize.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Using a ratio of 1:1, dilute apple cider vinegar with cold water. Soak a towel into the liquid and then press it gently onto your sunburned area. It will be instantly soothing on your burn. Fair warning: don’t use this if you have blisters from the burn because it will sting!
