Soften Those Feet with a DIY Pedicure

If you’re like most of us, the summer months can really do a number on your feet. You walk barefoot more often and you’ll find your heels in particular, end up paying the price. Then, as we enter the cooler months of Fall and Winter, the dry air only worsens how your feet look and feel. Fix those tootsie troubles with this DIY pedicure! Best part is, all of the steps listed below only take about 15 minutes so you can do this as often as you please.

  1. Pour 1 cup of milk and 5 cups of warm water into a basin large enough to soak your feet. Soak feet for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Next, make your homemade foot scrub by putting 4 tablespoons salt or sugar in 1/2 cup oil. Baby oil, coconut oil, sweet almond oil, or vegetable oil are all good choices. Massage the scrub into bottoms of feet using a circular motion.
  3. Using a pumice stone, scrub the bottoms of your feet. Rinse thoroughly and dry feet.
  4. Apply a rich foot cream thickly on your feet. Put socks on your feet and sleep with them on overnight, or for at least 4 hours.
